The weekend at the box office saw George Clooney and Sandra Bulluck soar above the competition as their movie “Gravity” debuted at the top of the charts for the weekend. The Sci-fi thriller sees a medical engineer and an astronaut work together to survive after an accident leaves them adrift in space. The movie opened big and there is also a strong Oscar buzz for the film as it’s stars. Meanwhile, another heavily anticipated film did not hit the jackpot as the Ben Affleck/Justin Timberlake led “Runner Runner” limped to a disappointing third place and only pulled in $7.6 million as of Sunday evening. Below is a look at how the top ten at the box office fared.
