NFL Scoreboard Week 7: There Can Only Be One Unbeaten

102013-highlights

It’s rare that two teams from the same division are undefeated going in to Week 7, but entering the week, the Denver Broncos and the Kansas City Chiefs were on top of the NFL world. What a difference a Sunday makes. As Peyton Manning returned home to Indy for the first time as a Bronco, many expected the savvy veteran to leave town with a win but the young Colt, Andrew Luck had different plans. In the end, the Indianapolis Colts removed the Broncos from the ranks of the unbeaten, 39-33. The Kansas City Chiefs invited the Houston Texans to town hoping that they can stay on top, and after a defensive struggle  the Chiefs pull out the win by the narrowest of margins, 17-16. As for the rest of the NFL, injuries proved to be the story of the day. Reggie Wayne and Sam Bradford were added to the growing list of star players that are lost for the season, both having suffered ACL tears. The Chicago Bears unlucky streak of injuries claim two new victims as both Jay Culter and Lance Briggs will be missing from the line-up several weeks due to a torn groin and a shoulder injury respectfully. The Green Bay Packers added to the injury list as Jermichael Finley has a spinal injury and a timetable for his return has not yet been set. Here’s a look at the rest of the scores in the NFL.
